Community-Based Violence Prevention Demonstration Program

A growing number of communities have adopted multi-strategy, multi-disciplinary approaches to reduce the violence that has adversely affected youth, families, and communities across America. The Community-Based Violence Prevention Demonstration Program provides funding for localities to support federal, state, and local partnerships to replicate multi-disciplinary, community-based, proven strategies to reduce violence. OJJDP invites applications from private/non-profit and public agencies, including state agencies and units of local government (including federally recognized Indian tribal governments as determined by the Secretary of the Interior and published in the Federal Register).   The grant application deadline is June 18, 2010.  For more information, please visit:
